Artist Statement
As an artist, I perceive natural spaces as intricate masterpieces, to be respected and appreciated. These scenes, whether viewed in grand vistas or in intimate spaces, provide a greater sense of clarity and scale to our lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience these areas and to share compositions through the crafts of photography, painting, drawing, and writing.
Summary - Experience and Education
My life has been filled with artistic endeavors, hiking, camping, travelling and exploring the wonders of wilderness spaces. Additionally, I have worked to preserve and enjoy these spaces by participated and leading several wilderness camps that included activities such as backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, navigation, climbing, education, and journaling. My travels to National Parks, my home region of Appalachia, and abroad have revealed much in my relationship with creation and the sharing of wisdom for further generations.
