INTRINSICALLY APPALACHIA

Intrinsically Appalachia is a collection of Landscapes, Stills, Portraits and Architectural Images that express and affirm the culture, values, and beauty within contemporary Eastern Kentucky.  It is not an attempt to veil economic or social conditions that often stigmatize the culture.  However, it is a perspective of revealing the vibrancy of the region, the spirit of it's people, their historical connections, as well as deep cutural interests and nuances throguh pictures and stories.  It will be an ongoing series of themed portfolios to be exhibited and offered as prints, books, and other media.
